Beautiful Feet Dance Theatre is excited to be launching this spring as the performance company under Beautiful Feet Dance Ministry. But who are we? Read on to find out about us!
Directors Melody Stanert and Donna FitzPatrick met in 2008 when Donna
came to a dance concert of the Good Samaritan Dance Academy, where Melody was dancing. That summer, Melody taught at the Praise Dance Camp Donna ran at Parkside Academy of Music and Dance, and the two quickly discovered a mutual desire to use dance to share the love of Christ.
Though the next 5 years took them separate directions, in 2013 they reunited and formed Amazing Grace Praise Dance Company through Parkside. Combining their passion for liturgical dance, they created an adaptation of “The Way Home: A Princess Story” from Max Lucado’s children’s book. The following year AGPDC grew to a larger group of dancers and they presented an original story called “The Masked Lie.”
In 2014 they closed that dance company as Donna began to create Beautiful Feet Praise Dance at Calvary Chapel of Delaware County and Melody began focusing on forming a performing arts organization. God brought them back together the Winter of 2017 to create Beautiful Feet Dance Theatre to bring “The Way Home” back to life.
